I'm back...but not for long!... Well, I hope not.
I saw that Spud did an update, so I'm going to do one so he can't rip on me too much.
Where do I start???
Wedding date is set!!!! December 10, 2007 at 3:00 pm. We are off to the Dominican Republic to have a tropical wedding and a holiday with our family and friends. This event is going to change the nation, lots of wonderful people are coming and what better way to spend that time... then basking in the sun and splashing about in the ocean! hehe
My Monday Men's Curling team finished first in the "B" division. We started as a bunch of unknown rookies and blossomed into actual curlers. Last night we lost in the second round of playoffs that ended the year. Ya, everyone is going to ask why we didn't win. My answer to that is "picks". I think we had six rocks that picked on us and they we pretty important shots. But that's the game of curling and that's the way the cookie crumbles. We did end up winning jackets and our names on a trophy for next year and that all gets awarded to us at the year-end get together.
The house is great, can't wait for summer to get here and spend some time camping and attended family reunions. O yes, also the turkey deep-frying season. I have a couple of big events planned, better known as "Deep Fry Frenzies". So I'll have to brew up some ideas in the weeks to come.
I started a new position at work last week. I am now an Underwriting Manager, basically I obtain a bunch of info on a business loan and I put it all together for an approval. It will definitely give me the experience I need to make my next step in the bank. Speaking of work, this weekend is the annual bank hockey tournament and usually turns out to be a good time. Last few the years got pretty heated on the ice. Almost a couple of fights and lots of pushing after the whistle.
Today I did get my first email read on the air on the Mike Richard Show, The Fan 960 (http://www.fan960.com/station_info/jock_bios.jsp ). That was pretty cool, hopefully more to come, now that I know what he likes.
Not a whole bunch more to report, I'll keep this a little more up-to-date.
Enjoy the city street cleaners,
JP
