Band-Aids 19, Other team 6
Man, our team really knows how to lay the beats to other teams. Last night was our 8th consecutive win in the WNBL Softball League. I'm not sure what is stands for, but I am sure it's very logical.
The game started out with Stacey (playing 1st base) taking care of all three outs. First was a pop-up that she over-ruled Cred and made the catch. It was the text book version of "communication is the key to a successful team" (also on 90% of cover letters). Second out, Stacey tracked a pop-up into foul ball territory and made a running catch. Third out was a sharp grounder that she picked up and made the final out of the inning.
Next the Band Aids went three up and three down. I think all three outs were hit directly into our opponents gloves, easy peazy. This kinda drop the volume of the team until out next at bat when we went through the whole rotation and captured five runs. For the rest of the game we held the opposition to one or less runs an inning.
Dingers were hit by:
Stacey - 1 homer
Jeremy Gackle - 2 homers
Jeff P - 1 homer
Josh - 1 or 2 not exactly sure ( I do know you had a couple of stingers down the first base line, hehe)
Cred - 0 homers (he did make a great throw from the outfield to get a player out at first base, good work little buddy)
Great game team!
Some other points:
- A shout out to Ben, great shoes and you are a franchise player, I don't care what anyone else thinks, you are!
- Cred, you pitched a good game, it's about time a team didn't hit four or five balls right up the middle at you.
- Travy, you lead the best post game three cheers in the west!
For future post game reports I will try and get some pics during the game.
This day in history
1956: At the U.S. Olympic Trials in Los Angeles, Glenn Davis breaks the 50-second barrier in the 400-meter hurdles on the same day that Charles Dumas becomes the first man to high jump seven feet.
Todays records are.
400 Hurdles = 46.78, Kevin Young (US)
High jump = 2.45m 8-0.50 ft, Javier Sotomayor (Cuba)
It's good to see humanity is evolving in more was than just huge friggin' TVs.
Thanks for listening, two days to kill before the weekend.

Stacey sounds like quite the ball hog. lol
Purds... happy birthday big man. I sure hope you got pissed and laid? It's the only combination that works for a B-Day.
Glad to see the update on the amount of homers that Downtown Cred continues not to hit. My money is on Stacey!!
