Loose Teeth
Today I had my annual dentist appointment, things went well. I did hear the crap I hear every time I go.
1- How often do you floss? I said I have never flossed a day in my life. She wasn't very pleased with me.
2- Do you have any problems with your teeth? I said they are all loose and feel like my teeth are hanging by the roots and about fall out of my head. That was a little too far so I stopped the smart ass remarks after that.
3- Mint, Strawberry, Cherry or plain flavored fluoride? I went with the mint. But plain, this is new to me. I thought that the terrible taste of mint was bad enough along with the foamy texture of the fluoride.
Of course before I went a couple of co-workers were telling me not to get the fluoride because it is a waste of money.(only $20 cheapskates) I beg to differ, I think it is worth the four minutes of drool running down the side of your face and the suction hose rattling around in your mouth pulling at the skin under your tongue. (that did hurt a couple of times)
This was a new dentist, my previous dentist was not good at all. Dr. P was a worn that had a hard time trying to give me the bad news of having a single cavity. So I canned him. Dr. McMullen was great, she told me things straight up, she was quick, pleasant and not afraid to tell me to floss more. ( I hear that every time I go) http://www.scenicsmiles.com/drvicki.html
For anyone in the NW of Calgary I recommend Ol' Vic to help you out.
All in all, it was one of my best dentist experiences I have had. Minus the cavity I have to go back to get filled next Friday. Can't wait!!!
Now the weekend. My buddy Curtis Martin and high school friend Carolynn Wright are getting hitched here in Calgary this weekend. Should be a good time. I am hopping to see some friends I haven't seen since 1994.
